Working in my studio during Covid 2020
CULTURE DAYS AT COURTYARD GALLERY 2016
Culture Days, an annual event across Canada, was celebrated for the first time at Courtyard Gallery. Ten artists shared their process with each other and with the public that attended the event. It was a busy day answering questions and demonstrating. I showed the basics of watercolor, types of brushes and paper to be used and basic washes. It was a good information to get people started in watercolor.

Jewelry 2014
January and February 2014 I have been designing and making new jewelry. My designs this year include handmade glass bead pendants wrapped with sterling silver. As well there are several new designs for rings. For earrings this year I have blended together my love of watercolor painting and sterling silver. I have combined them and made one of a kind earrings. They are all hand painted. It has been a busy time and I probably will be working on the jewelry for another month. The first Shuswap Farm and Craft Market is April 25, so I must be ready then. There has been no time for painting. Maybe in March I can spend a little time painting.
Annual Juried Members Show January 25, 1014 to March 1, 2014
I am in the planning stages to enter the Salmon Arm Arts Centre Annual juried art show. I am planning to enter 2 paintings with fingers crossed they will get juried in. My ideas are floating around in my head and I have already started on one. It is in the very early stages. We will see how it goes...UPDATE:...I did enter but was juried out of the show. I will try again next year.
Watercolor Workshop September 2013
I have just returned from Prince George B.C with my friend Dawn Scott from the Courtyard Gallery, where we attended a 5 day (9 am to 4pm) watercolor workshop with artist Birgit O'Connor. It was a very intense and busy class with 22 hardworking artists. We tried different techniques and learned new ways of painting using big brushes Now we are home it is time to put what we have learned into our art. I am looking forward to getting back into my studio and to start painting. Click on the link below to learn more about Birgit O'Connor.

A view of most of the class working on their paintings. Everyone is concentrating.
Birgit is critiquing my painting. It was a good way to learn. We all were painting the same drawing but no two turned out the same. We all put in our own personality. The techniques we were taught and then we practiced on the painting.
In this photo I am letting the paint flow and move around the paper. It was a large multi colored flower.
