ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kathi King is a watercolor artist who enjoys the subtle mixture of color, smooth strokes and watercolors blending together. Each painting is done with a realistic approach and comes from a story she is feeling while she paints. There is an emotional connection to each painting as she interprets and conveys this to the viewer.
Kathi takes her inspiration from scenes that are around her. She merges them together with what she is experiencing in her life and blends them on paper with watercolor paint. This blending creates a unique perspective on a variety of subjects conveying feelings into images.
Kathi is a member of the Enderby Artists' Initiative and the Salmon Arm Arts Centre and has submitted works in shows at the Salmon Arm Arts Centre in Salmon Arm B. C., Courtyard Gallery in Enderby, B.C., ARTWALK in Lake Country, B. C., and Cathedral Village Arts Festival in Regina, Saskatchewan
Kathi also works with sterling silver and make a variety of twisted wire jewelry
